Inauguration of the world third largest mosque in Algeria

The third largest mosque in the world was inaugurated in the North African country of Algeria. The mosque built in the capital city of Algiers was inaugurated by the president of Algeria, Abdel Majid Taboun. The Jama Mosque is the third largest mosque in the world after the Algiers Mosque, the Haram Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and the 869-foot high minaret of the Jama Masjid is the longest minaret in the world. The mosque is 70 acres.
It has been built on an area of 120,000 worshippers, while the mosque uses wood and marble, with Arabic and North African style carvings. A helipad and a library have also been built in the mosque.
In which more than 10 lakh books can be kept. Jama Masjid al-Algiers will be opened for general public on 1st of Ramadan.
