The Election Commission has issued permits to foreign journalists for coverage of the 2024 elections. According to Geo News, in the first phase, 49 journalists from 13 owners have been given permits for election coverage.
Permits have been issued to journalists from China, Japan, USA, UK, Canada, France and Hong Kong. Permits have also been issued to journalists from Serbia, Sweden, Germany, Australia, Thailand and Singapore.
2 lakh accreditation cards have been printed by the Election Commission. Delegations from the European Union and Commonwealth countries will also come to observe the election. About 136 foreign journalists have applied for coverage of the general elections. Permits will be issued.
